Marcia's Minute

Now that the
summer months are upon us, you'll definitely
want to stop in for some oilcloth - and was
there anything more useful & practical ever
made?
Cover your picnic
table with it, and your summer entertaining
quickly & easily becomes festive. Use oilcloth
aprons for easy cleanup on even the messiest
cooking or art projects. There are so many uses
for oilcloth - you'll definitely want to check
out this month's oilcloth feature below to get
lots of great ideas on how to use it.
During these hot
days, I always keep an oilcloth bag packed &
ready to go with my swim gear. It is also a
great time to get one of our Mixe and cotton
manta huipiles - they make perfect bathing suit
cover-ups this time of year.
Speaking of
swimming, be sure and check out the "new" Deep
Eddy bath houses and remodel - it is fabulous!
Congratulations and a big thanks to the Friends
of Deep Eddy Pool. For those of you new to
Austin, Deep Eddy Pool is filled and changed
frequently with artesian well water and is the
perfect antidote to our summer heat! It is
delicious and has no chlorine! It is also on the
Historic Register.
Finally, we at El
Interior are most saddened to report the loss of
our former manager, a gifted artist and close
friend—Mimi McKinney. She lost a hard-fought
battle with lung cancer in early June, but Mimi
will be remembered with great fondness for years
to come.
Saludos,
Marcia Lucas
