Marcia's Minute
The kids may be going back to school, but summer
is definitely not
over! Luckily, everything that have in the store
is made for this hot climate--so if the heat is
getting to you, try some of the wonderful new
things that we've received in from Dunes! Made
of sturdy, light & airy cotton, Dunes is
low-maintenance and wonderful in this heat!
Additionally, we're offering a special this
month on some of our gauzy cotton Peasant &
Viejita blouses--all of which are sure to help
you from getting overheated.
You will also definitely want to take advantage
of the sales tax holiday this weekend! What a
perfect time to stock up on your favorite items!
In addition to all of the new things that we
have received so far, we'll also have wonderful
new things arriving in the next few weeks from
my latest trip to Mexico--so you will definitely
want to keep checking in the store over the next
few weeks.
Also, we have just started carrying some
incredible new jeans from JAG, in two different
styles. If you have not been in yet to see them,
you should definitely try them--we have seen
women with all different body types completely
fall in love with them. Take a look at Becky's
comment about them in this month's mailbag.
Thank you Becky!
Saludos,
Marcia Lucas

August Artist Spotlight: Innocencio Vasquez |

Master carver Inocencio Vasquez loves to delve into
his village's superstitious past. Nahuals
(human figures with animal
faces) and drunken
skeletons are some of his signature works. Each one
of his creations has a timeless quality to it.
He says of his work " I capture the combination of
good and bad in life."

 Amy--The
newsletter looks great! I loved the pics with
the jeans. I wore my jeans in Denver—I freaking
LOOOOOOVE them. I wore them cuffed, they looked
so hip. So comfy! Thanks for making me buy them!
Becky Conces
For the record everybody - I did not MAKE
her buy them! I simply made her try them on
because I love them so much myself! Thanks for
your comment Becky! (Becky is referring to the
new JAG jeans that we carry)
